How the himalayan mountain will affect the biodiversity of the ecosystem?

The mountain range actually split a common ecosystem several million years ago. So there are now three or more "ecosystems" on or about the range. But regarding biodiversity, there are now about 5 biomes in the region each with its specific list of organisms. The leeward slope yields from Alpine to Desert two radically different biomes. In spite of the extreme altitude certain cranes and geese still fly over 14,000 ft in annual migration flyways across the range.
