Has anyone created the perfect self-contained ecosystem?

You need to do water changes when it comes to aquariums. No matter how much ammonia, nitrite or nitrate is taken out and no matter how much oxygen is put back in a water change replanished many of the minerals back into the aquarium water that you can't just buy. It just isn't fare to the tank or fish if you don't place those minerals back into the tank.
